“A person should aim to maintain physical health and vigor in order that theiR soul may be upright, for it is impossible for one to understand the universe and meditate upon it when they are hungry, sick or when their limbs ache.”

Meet shenandoah
Hi! My name is Shenandoah and I am a certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, nutritionist and fascial mobility specialist with over twenty years of experience as a professional dancer and acrobat and over eight years of experience as a fitness professional.
I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BFA in Performance and Choreography and toured with a well-known acrobatic dance company. I am the founder of Psychopomp Dance, a growing dance theater company in Los Angeles.
Movement has always been a key part of my life and I am grateful every morning to wake up with another chance to move my body. I believe it is part of mission here on earth to assist others in caring for the body, mind, and spirit throughout their life journey.
As a professional dancer, I have dealt with injuries and understand the importance of the mind body connection, effective and thoughtful exercise selection, recovery and proper body mechanics. I am Hypermobile (HMS) and I have spent the last several years of my life on a deep dive and journey to not only heal my own body from chronic pain, random injuries and instability but help others train safely to achieve freedom and increase their quality of life.
I have seen thousands of bodies moving through space and I bring that experience to every session. I know how to set goals and create a personalized program that focuses on consistency and gets results.
One of my greatest joys is instructing the practice of physical movement, deepening the mind body connection and guiding individuals of all ages to feel more confident, stronger, happier in their own skin.
It is my goal to support my client’s not only achieve their goals but to live healthier, pain free and more fruitful lives.
